There are two types of Soapstone.
We only use Architectural Grade Soapstone, which is used in Professional restaurants, professional kitchens, Science laboratories, Medical Laboratories, and Educational Laboratories all over the world.
Artistic Soapstone is Not suitable for countertops. It is used for carving figurines.

We have been fabricating and installing Architectural Grade Soapstone countertops and sinks for over 25 years throughout the Chicago area.
Soapstone is a natural stone product, ideally suited for Kitchen, Bathroom, Mudroom, and Buffet counters. It is stain proof and heat proof. Historically soapstone has been used in this country since colonial times for sinks and counter material. If you're looking for a functional, historic and pleasing material, Architectural Grade Soapstone can't be beat.
